Root Touch Up

Single-process color applied to new growth — for gray coverage and solid color maintenance.

$120 — includes shampoo and style

A root touch up is a single-process color service applied to new growth only — typically the first inch or two closest to your scalp. The goal is simple: match your existing color by applying only to the root area. Whether you're covering gray or maintaining a solid shade, this service refreshes your color right where it needs it without touching the lengths.

This service is for you if

You have a solid, all-over color and need to cover new growth or gray at the root. Your ends still look good — you just need the roots refreshed to match.

This service is not for you if

You have highlights, balayage, or any lightened pieces. Those services require foils, lightener (bleach), and a separate booking. A root touch up does not include any lightening, bleaching, or foil work.

If you have balayage or highlights and your roots are bothering you, reach out before booking — I can point you to the right service.

  • Guests covering gray with a solid color who need a refresh every 4–6 weeks
  • Guests maintaining a rich brunette, deep red, or any all-over shade with up to 2 inches of new growth
  • Anyone who loves their current color and simply wants the roots to match

Ask about the 10-minute color

For some guests, I offer a faster-processing color that processes in as little as 10 minutes. It doesn't work for every hair type — ask about it when you book or at your appointment to find out if it's right for you.

How often should I come in for a root touch up?

Every 4–6 weeks is typical for most guests. If you're covering a high percentage of gray, you may find every 4 weeks works better to stay ahead of the regrowth.

What if I have more than 2 inches of new growth?

More than 2 inches may require a full single color service instead. If you're unsure, send me a photo before booking and I can confirm which service is right for you.

Will the color be applied to my whole head?

No — only the new growth at the root. The goal is to match your existing color precisely, not recolor the lengths. This keeps your ends healthy and avoids unnecessary overlap.

I have highlights — can I still book this?

This service is not designed for highlighted or balayage hair. If you have lightened pieces, you'll need a different service. Reach out and I'll help you figure out the right one.
